Our Story

WE ARE CREATIVE WINE MAKERS THAT LOVE TO LEARN, COLLABORATE, AND CREATE.

Our English Pink story began in a small village in the heart of Somerset and combines friendship, wine and a passion for quality. With our shared love of excellent wine we had had many conversations about creating a delicious rosé entirely in England and with Clem stepping away from the corporate world in 2019 it seemed the perfect time to do it.

We both love crisp, pale, Provence style rosé and knew we could create our own with a touch of English glamour. As a Master of Wine (one of only 38 female MW’s in the country) and with 20 years’ experience of making wine for other people, Clem was perfectly suited to create our delicious English Pink Rosé. Sourcing grapes from quality focused, family owned vineyards she has produced a wonderfully pale pink rosé with aromas and flavours of wild strawberries and watermelon. Our rosé is full of  flavour supported by a lovely fresh acidity, which is a hallmark of English wine. The fresh acidity means English Pink rosé pairs incredibly well with all foods, even heavier dishes such as creamy pasta and roast meats.

MW Made.

Having our own Master of Wine producing English Pink we are in the perfect situation to create a bespoke rosé wine each vintage.  Made in small batches from premium grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc, we source our grapes according to the vintage conditions whilst maintaining a consistent colour and flavour profile every year.

All our grapes are hand-picked with a quality selection in the vineyard before heading to the winery where we extract just the right amount of colour from the grape skins before fermentation at a cool temperature. As we are aiming to produce a fresh and fragrant wine style we don’t use oak but we do age the wine on it’s lees for 3 months before bottling. This helps to soften the acidity and build more texture on the palate. Our rosé is vegan and as is grown and produced entirely in England which allows us to keep our airmiles low.

How and Where to enjoy English Pink.

You can never predict the weather in this country with its mixture of long hazy days that allow balmy picnics on the beach one minute whilst the next is dreary & drizzly and calls for you to curl up by the fire. English Pink Rosé is for enjoying no matter the weather or season. It can be enjoyed on its own or with food and is always best paired with friends and laughter.

We have been so thrilled by the response to English Pink and how this has enabled us to grow organically year on year. From starting out at small local fairs in the South of England in the summer of 2020 we can now be found at large events such as Burghley & Badminton Horse Trials, in independent wine shops, bars & members clubs such as The Royal Dart Yacht Club, and collaborating with the likes of Boodles Jewellers with many more exciting projects in the pipeline.

We are English Pink, Rosé without the accent.
